Hail storm hits parts of Antipolo City


Corn kernel-sized hailstones hit portions of Bararangay San Roque in Antipolo City during a thunderstorm on Sunday afternoon, June 19.

Residents of Pines City Royale Subdivision and East View Homes, all located in Barangay San Roque, Antipolo City experienced a thunderstorm for more than an hour at past 3 p.m. with moderate winds, thunder, and lightning.

Heavy rain was also felt in these areas.

According to residents, they heard the sound similar to falling rocks on the roofs of their houses shortly before 4 p.m. at the height of the thunderstorm.

The thunderstorm lasted for more than an hour but the rain of hailstones lasted for a few minutes.
