P544-M worth of shabu seized, 5 suspects nabbed in twin Cavite buy bust operations

Government anti-narcotics operatives seized on Thursday, June 2, some P544 million worth of shabu following the arrest of five drug personalities in separate buy-bust operations in Cavite, a Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) official said.
PDEA spokesperson Derrick Carreon said the 8 a.m. operation was carried out at Block 34 Lot 14 Hyacinth St., Camella Homes, Dasmariñas, Cavite where Dominador Robasto Omega Jr. and Siegfred Omega Garcia were arrested.
In the operation, PDEA and Philippine National Police (PNP) operatives confiscated 60 kilograms of shabu with an estimated value of P408 million, butane stove, cooking equipment, gallons of unknown chemicals, rectangular plastic containers with white crystalline substance, air purifier (used for concealment), various drug paraphernalia, cellular phone and iIdentification cards.
At around the same time, another operation was conducted where anti-narcotics authorities P136 million worth of shabu were seized from Elaine Maningas, Ricardo Santillan and Laurel dela Rosa at Block 11 Lot 1 Buenavista Townhomes, General Trias, Cavite. at around 8 a.m.
Aside from shabu, authorities seized the P1,000 bill used as buy-bust money, four android phones, two analog phones and identification cards.
