When he essayed the role of David in the ABS-CBN series “The Broken Marriage Vow” which is on the throes of its conclusion, Zanjoe Marudo probably didn’t know that it will serve as a warning to him (and other men) to take the decision to get married very seriously.

During an interview with him recently at the ABS-CBN Studio 2, Zanjoe was asked how his view on marriage changed. He quipped, “nakakatakot pala.”

Zanjoe pointed out, “ayaw mo mapunta sa ganung situation. From the experience of playing the role, malalaman mo na ang dapat at hindi para maiwasan. Ayaw natin na ganun ang kalabasan ng pamilya.”

He added, “mas maraming matututunan ang mga nanonood sa character ni David. Sa napanood nila, alam na nila na kapag sumama sila sa ganitong klaseng lalaki, ganito rin ang kalalabasan ng pamilya nila.”

At the same time, the serious actor celebrates this kind of role and sees it as a milestone in his acting career. He said, “maraming nagmamarkang characters. Kahit natapos na ang series, hindi natin nakakalimutan. I’m thankful for this role. To me it is a celebration of what we did right. Yung role ni David, kahit ilang years hindi na mawawala sa akin ang experience na yan. I’ll hold onto it as a trophy. I am just thankful.”

DIEGO LOYZAGA IN GOOD TERMS WITH ALL HIS SIBLINGS

When he celebrated his birthday recently, Diego Loyzaga got a treat from his father Cesar Montano with a jolly greeting that also featured his three younger siblings – Samuel, Liam and Kirsten – who all joined their dad singing the happy birthday song.

The three youngsters are Cesar’s children by his current partner Cat.

The greeting was truly heartwarming and showed that Cesar’s kids truly enjoy a good relationship with each other, something that Cesar truly wanted for his children.

Diego also enjoys a close relationship with Cesar’s other kids – Angelina, Samantha and Cheska by Cesar’s former wife Sunshine Cruz. These older kids are seen hanging out with each other when they have time.

We know for a fact that Diego is also close to Angela, the eldest among Cesar’s kids.

Now that it’s Father’s Day, I’m sure that Cesar will be one joyful father knowing that all his kids are in good terms with each other, imbued with love for one another as all families should.

ROBIN PADILLA TO PERFORM VERY WELL IN THE SENATE – ARNELL IGNACIO

This early, comedian-TV host and OWWA deputy commissioner Arnell Ignacio predicts that actor Robin Padilla will be one of the new senators who will surely be performing well in his tenure at the Senate of the Republic of the Philippines.

Arnell said of Robin, “sigurado ako, isa si Robin sa mga bagong senador na gugulat sa sambayanan sa kanyang kakayahan sa Senado. Masipag siya. Marunong siyang mag-research at hindi siya natatakot magtanong.”

Arnell also praised Robin for being humble. “Matagal ko na siyang kilala. Hindi siya mayabang at alam niya kung ano ang ipinaglalaban niya para sa mga kababayan nating Muslim. At kaya niyang ipaliwanag ang mga issues sa lengguwaheng maiintindihan,” he said.

Arnell also shared the time he and Robin collaborated for the repatriation of an OFW who died in Sudan. He said, “Tinawagan ako ni Robin at nagpatulong kasi mahaba-habang time na ang ginugol niya para maipauwi ang body nung OFW. When he brought the matter to us, it only took us a week to accomplish his mission,” he narrated.

Arnell said it was because Robin did everything right and OWWA’s intervention in this case was made easier because Robin didn’t antagonize anyone from Sudan. “Sometimes humihirap ang trabaho namin sa OWWA kasi maraming nakikialam at inuuna pa ang pagbabalita ng hindi magagandang bagay tungkol sa ibang bansa rather than focusing on diplomacy,” Arnell explained.

In his efforts to cheat aging and still look youthful on the cameras, this A-rate dramatic actor ironically lost the lead role to a new movie because the producer and director of the film production felt he couldn’t give the role justice anymore because “his face barely moves now” no thanks to the cosmetic procedure he had earlier.

As a result, the movie went to another A-list dramatic actor who has been “aging gracefully” without any aid of “cosmetic alterations.”

Both actors are popular for their excellent acting mettle. The second dramatic actor is known for taking good care of his health without being vain about his appearance.
