RSG PH arranged a rematch with RRQ but at the expense of its compatriot and defending champion Omega in the lower bracket finals. It was a bittersweet victory for the MPL PH Season 9 champion as it took a pulsating 3-2 triumph to keep its MSC hopes alive all while ending Omega's title retention bid.

At the end of the thrilling five-game game series, Omega skipper Patrick “E2max” Caidic was filled with emotions as the rest of the RSG team surrounded and comforted him after the match.

“Sinabi namin na ang ganda ng laban good game sobrang solid ng pinakita nila,” said RSG roamer Dylan “Light” Catipon when asked what they told E2max after the game.

He said the team also apologized that they failed to reach the finals through the upper bracket after they lost to RRQ.

“Nagso-sorry din kami kasi di kami nakaabot na upper bracket to grand finals so gusto talaga namin yung PH to PH grand finals kasi parang sobrang gandang match din nun sana,” shared Light.

“Kino-comfort namin siya and sinabi rin namin na babawian namin yung RRQ sa kanila,” he added.

History is on RRQ side however as it dominated the Filipinos in their lone head-to-head matchup in the tournament, taking the upper bracket finals win with a 3-1 victory.

Despite the earlier loss, RSG PH, known as the "Kingslayers", remain confident that they can topple the Indonesian "King of Kings."

“We’re really preparing hard for RRQ especially on the draft and the game style as well,” said Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto.

“Siguro sakto lang, oo confident kami tapos gagawin namin yung best namin para iuwi yung trophy,” Nathanael “Nathzz” Crisologo echoed.
