PH, Ireland agree to boost education, agri, culture, maritime ties
The Philippines and Ireland agreed to further explore cooperation in the fields of education, culture, agriculture, and maritime.

Both countries discussed this during a meeting between Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Ma. Theresa Lazaro and Irish Ambassador to the Philippines William Carlos on June 15.
They affirmed both sides' commitment to work "towards further cultivating the growing relationship between the Philippines and Ireland."
According to the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), the two officials discussed matters and opportunities to further their trade and cooperation in the fields of education, culture, agriculture, and maritime.
During the meeting, Carlos also praised "the warmth and friendliness of Filipinos."
He also acknowledged the important role played by Filipino healthcare workers in helping Ireland cope with the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Irish ambassador was joined by Deputy Head of Mission Brian McCrohan in his visit to the DFA.
