Partly cloudy skies, isolated rain showers or thunderstorms to prevail over most of PH

The ridge or extension of a high pressure area over the eastern sections of Northern and Central Luzon will be the dominant weather system in the country in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said on Sunday, June 19.
The entire country will continue to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or localized thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned the public against flash floods or landslides that may occur during severe thunderstorms, which are often accompanied by sudden heavy rains, lightning, thunder, gusty winds, and sometimes hail.
Moreover, the entire archipelago may experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
No tropical cyclone is expected to form inside or near the country’s area of responsibility in the coming week, but PAGASA said updates through weather advisories will be issued if there will be significant changes in the weather scenario.
