Nearly 7 million new voters have registered in the last May 9 polls, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

The Election Registration Board (ERB) data released by Comelec Spokesperson John Rex C. Laundiangco showed that a total of 6,950,458 new voters registered as of February 14.
Per the latest data, Region IV-A or Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon) had the most number of registrants among the other regions, having a total of 1,083,828.
Clabarzon was followed by the National Capital Region (NCR) with 982,520 new registered voters.
Third with the highest number of registrants among the regions was Region 3 or Central Luzon with 792,598.
Meanwhile, the region with the least number of new voter registrants was Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) with 111,057.
CAR was then followed by Caraga with 137,751 registrants.
