Foreman dies in motorcycle-van collision in Pangasinan

ALAMINOS CITY, Pangasinan – A 46-year-old foreman died in a collision between a motorcycle and a commuter van on the national highway in Barangay Magsaysay here Saturday, June 18.

Police said the victim, Francisco Cabanayan Jr., of Steady Ready, Sta. Rosa, Concepcion, Tarlac, was driving his black Honda TMX 125 motorcycle when it collided with a silver metallic Toyota Hi-Ace commuter van driven by Even Moreno, 39, of San Fernando Victoria, Tarlac City at about 10:30 p.m.

Investigation said Cabanayan suddenly encroached Moreno’s lane and rammed into the van.

Both drivers were taken by Alaminos City rescuers and responding policemen to the Western Pangasinan District Hospital here where Cabanayan was pronounced dead on arrival by attending physician. Moreno was confined at the hospital due to injuries.
