Mariel Rodriguez on Robin Padilla: 'I know you will be an amazing and effective Senator'

Mariel Rodriguez is one proud wife!

On her social media account, she shared behind-the-scenes photos of her husband Robin Padilla's oath-taking as a newly-elect senator, along with outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte.

"Robin’s Oath taking last night with PRRD. Maraming maraming salamat po Mr.President!!!," she wrote.

Then went on to note how they are "sooo sooo sooo proud" of Robin.

"I KNOW you will be an amazing and effective Senator. All eyes on you… but that’s okay we like challenges," Mariel said.

"When you were taking your oath, I told myself Robin was born to be GREAT. Meron talagang mga tao na destined to excel… si Robin ganun," she added.

Mariel ended her post by giving her husband some words of encouragement.

"You got this babe! We are behind you, beside you and with you all the way. God speed! Allah hu Akbar!" it read.

Also present at the event were the couple's daughters.
