Sentro Rizal launched online to connect OFWs to PH cultural, historical, media resources

The Philippine Embassy in Ottawa launched the Sentro Rizal Ottawa online portal on Independence Day, to connect people, especially Overseas Filipinos, to cultural, historical, media, and other related resources about the Philippines.

The online portal links relevant websites and social media platforms of partner agencies such as the National Commission for Culture and the Arts, Cultural Center of the Philippines, National Historical Institute, relevant museums in the Philippines, National Library of the Philippines, National Historical Commission of the Philippines, and Komisyon sa Wikang Filipino, among others.

The Philippine Embassy hopes that the online portal would help Filipinos, especially those who were born and raised in Canada, learn more about their roots and cultural heritage. A section in the portal is also devoted to activities for children, in line with this embassy’s program for second and third generation Filipino-Canadians.
