Tom Cruise arrives in Korea to promote 'Top Gun: Maverick'; engages with fans
Actor Tom Cruise arrived in South Korea on June 17 to promote the Hollywood blockbuster “Top Gun: Maverick,” which will premiere in the country on June 22.
Cruise flew from the United Kingdom to South Korea on a private plane and arrived at Seoul Gimpo Business Aviation Center at about 4:30 p.m. (3:30 p.m. in the Philippines).

“I’m so happy to be here,” he said, adding that he stopped shooting “Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning” so he could go to Korea.
Upon his arrival, he spent about 10 minutes with Korean fans who were waiting for him. He greeted them, gave them the “finger heart” gesture and took photos with them.
“Thank you very much,” Cruise told the fans and the media.
This is Cruise’s 10th visit to South Korea to become the Hollywood actor who visited the country the most.
Cruise will start his promotional tour on June 19 by attending a red carpet event at the Lotte World Tower outdoor plaza in Seoul.
On June 20, he will attend a press conference for the movie at the Lotte Hotel World grand ballroom.
To promote “Top Gun: Maverick,” Cruise will be joined by Miles Teller, Glen Powell, Jay Ellis, Greg Tarzan Davis and producer Jerry Bruckheimer in Korea, according to local reports.
