SWS survey shows gov't pandemic response working — Andanar

Malacañang believes that the government's efforts to improve the Filipino lives are working, based on the number of Filipinos that said their lives got better in just four months.

In a statement, presidential spokesman Martin Andanar said the Palace notes "the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) Survey showing 32 percent of adult Filipino respondents thought their lives had gotten better off in April 2022 compared to 24 percent who had the same sentiment in December 2021."

Andanar's remark came although the same survey said that there were more people who believed that their lives were worse today than last year, at 34 percent.

"We view this improvement an incontrovertible proof that the current government's pandemic response is working, where we put premium on both health and the economy," Andanar said.

With SWS saying that the latest survey result is still an "improvement" of December's result, Andanar said it only proves that the country is "now on our way to full economic recovery while maintaining our vigilance with the new Covid-19 variants."
