Muntinlupa Rep. Biazon feels nostalgic as he packs up things at district office
Outgoing Muntinlupa Representative and incoming mayor Ruffy Biazon is packing up his things at his district office in the city in preparation for his new elective position.
Biazon, who is in his fifth term as Muntinlupa congressman, posted photos on Facebook showing him at his district office in Barangay Alabang.

He won as Muntinlupa mayor in the May 9 elections after serving two consecutive terms as congressman. He completed his first three terms from 2001 to 2010.
Lahat ng laman ng aking mesa, cabinet, drawer at shelves ay nasa kahon na (We are packing up our things in the office. All the contents of my table, cabinet, drawer and shelves are now in boxes),” he wrote.
He said he and his father, former Senator Rodolfo Biazon, who served as Muntinlupa congressman from 2010 to 2016, spent 20 years in the Alabang office.
“Madaming alaala ang nabuo dito sa pagganap namin ng tungkulin (There are many memories that were formed here in the performance of our duties),” he said.
Biazon said the office served as the hub in forming projects and programs; campaign plans and operation of the headquarters; welcoming constituents who ask for help; and visitors including high government officials, people from the private sector, and citizens.
“Madami. Madaming alaala. (There are so many. Many memories. In this office was where my and Papa’s work started to serve Muntinlupeños as representatives of Muntinlupa City),” he added.
Biazon felt sad that he is leaving the office but thankful for the time that he has served the public.
But we are thankful for the chance to serve the public and the country from this little office),” he said.
(Effective public service is not measured by the size and elegance of the office. What is important is that you have done your duty and responsibility. This is the key that will give you added trust to serve in a bigger way).”
Malaking responsibilidad yan. Pero handa naman ako (After leaving this, I’m headed from being the representative to being the father of Muntinlupa. That is a big responsibility. But I am prepared),” said Biazon.
