CAAP cutting red tape for telco infra

The Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) is streamlining the issuance of permits, licenses, and certificates to build a shared Passive Telecommunication Tower Infrastructure (PTTI).

As part of the initiative, CAAP conducted a ceremonial launching and simulation of its virtual map of Critical Areas Thursday, June 16.

The map of CAAP Critical Areas serves as a guide for PTTI companies when they apply for a Height Clearance permit (HCP), prior to submitting their requirements.

The CAAP Height Clearance (HC) committee is now re-engineering the HCP process despite limited resources available in order to benefit the public, Director General Jim Sydiongco stated.

Aside from the virtual map of critical areas, an online portal digitalizing the process of applying for height clearance permits is also set to be available soon at the CAAP website (www.caap.gov.ph).

The CAAP Critical Areas virtual map can be accessed online via http://www.caap.gov.ph/

The CAAP coordinated with the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) and the Department of Information Communications Technology (DICT) for the HCP streamlining initiative.
