Tricia, a licensed doctor, is being offered admission into Harvard Medical School Master of Medical Sciences in Global Health Delivery program beginning on Aug. 31 this year.

This was revealed by the Vice President in a Facebook post on Friday night, June 17, saying they knew of the acceptance earlier "but decided to keep it to ourselves until everything was finalized."

The outgoing Vice President said Tricia applied at Harvard Medical School after realizing what she wanted to pursue.

"She wanted to do more about the situation and started writing correspondences about the different realities she was exposed to. Several of her works were published in medical journals. That was when she learned that this was what she wanted to pursue," Robredo said.

"She applied at the Harvard Medical School Master of Medical Sciences in Global Health Delivery, suntok sa buwan (it was a long shot). And she got accepted!" she added.

The older Robredo also bared that Tricia, after passing the medical board, had to postpone her residency program twice due to the pandemic and the election campaigns.

Tricia helped in the Office of the Vice President's (OVP) Covid-19 response operations. She initially planned to start her residency in January 2022 but her mother decided to run for president.

"When I suddenly decided to run in October 2021, she felt I would need her in the campaign and decided to forgo it the second time," Robredo said.

Tricia, according to Robredo, has been consistently doing hospital work as an ER Doctor and also doing clinical work.

"But, aside from these, she has also immersed herself in several public health projects and had a deeper understanding of how health care is delivered to our communities," the Vice President said.

Robredo shared a photo of the acceptance letter on her Facebook page, saying she is "super grateful for this huge blessing."

Tricia, who is known as Doc Tricia, graduated with a dual degree in Doctor of Medicine and Master of Business Administration from the Ateneo School of Medicine and Public Health.

She passed the licensure examinations for doctors in November 2020.

Tricia's admission in Harvard followed the graduation of her sister, Jillian, at the New York University with a double degree in Mathematics and Economics in May 2022.

The eldest among the Robredo sisters, Aika, also finished a Masters in Public Administration from the Harvard Kennedy School in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
