4 men with criminal cases arrested


Police arrested a businessman and three others in a series of anti-criminality operations conducted by police in the southern part of Metro Manila on Thursday, June 16.

In Parañaque City, a businessman identified as Danilo Idos, 49, was arrested by members of the Warrant and Subpoena Section (WSS), in coordination with Sub-Station 5 personnel, at around 11:00 a.m. in Barangay BF Homes.

He was nabbed on the strength of a warrant of arrest issued on April 26, 2022 by Judge Joseph Alemania Palmes of Regional Trial Court, 12th Judicial Region Branch 60 in General Santos City, South Cotobato for an estafa case with a recommended bail of P108,000.

The WSS team also arrested Gerald Soleres at 4 p.m. in relation to a robbery incident at a worship house. He was the subject of a warrant issued by Judge Liezel Aquitan, of Muntinlupa Regional Trial Court Branch 205, with a recommended bail of 100,000.

He is now detained at the police custodial facility.

In Pasay City, members of WSS arrested a nurse identified as Mario de Guia, 45, who is facing acts of lasciviousness charges.

De Guia was apprehended at 1:30 p.m. on Francisco St. in Edang, Pasay City by virtue of a warrant issued by Judge IrmabPanahon-Abad of Pasay City Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 113 with recommended bail of P80,000.

In Las Piñas, a security guard, identified as Rey dela Cruz, 37, was nabbed at 4 p.m. by members of WSS in front of the Las Piñas City Hall of Justice building after a warrant of arrest was issued by Judge Mildred Jacinto Marquez of Family Court Branch 2 for violation of Section 5 of Republic Act 7610, an act providing for stronger deterrence and special protection against child abuse and discrimination.

The court recommended a bail of P36,000 for his temporary liberty.
