Smart Omega Esports rued the missed chance to go for a shorter route to the finals after getting dropped to the lower bracket courtesy of a 2-1 loss to Todak.

After all, there is no way the Filipino bets are backing down with the lower bracket action isn’t exactly new for Omega, having carved its way out of it numerous times in the past. The team even won the MSC title last year through the same route
“Nanghinayang kasi panalo na kami non,” said Christian “Raizen” Sumagui. “Malungkot kase gusto namin maranasan yung upper.”
Omega skipper Patrick “E2max” Caidic shared the feeling of his younger teammate although he owned up to their mistakes and gave credit to the excellent game plan of Todak against the Filipino squad.
“Dami kaming mistake and common errors, miscommunications and walang specific plan para i-end yun game nung game 1 kaya na-comeback kami,” said E2max, recalling the Game 1 loss where they took control of match only to loss one huge team fight in the endgame that triggered the comeback for Todak
“Nahirapan kami sa kanila di namin inexpect yung mga binigay nilang hero samin. Di tulad ng nasa plano namin kaya sguro nabigla kami,” he added.
Nonetheless, Omega is out to repeat history as it finds itself fighting for its tournament lives in the lower bracket for the rest of the tournament.
“Mahirap sabihin na confident pero iba talaga pag nasa lower kami tingin ko mas lumalabas ‘yung tunay na laro namin. Di ko sinasabi na sinadya namin maging lower pero mukhang mas natututo at mas nalalaman namin yun mali hangga’t natatalo kami,” said E2max.
“Expect nyo na babawi kami papakita namin tunay na laro ng Omega.”
