And you can be part of it!
Since its premiere on Netflix, “Squid Game” has become a global phenomenon with people creating their own obstacles, baking their own honeycomb candy, local animation, and even makeup transformations. If you are among the die-hard fans of the show and wish to experience its games—sans the gory elements, of course—you’re in luck as the streaming platform is set to produce a reality series inspired by the South Korean drama. And you can be part of it.

Earlier this week at the Banff World Media Festival, Netflix’s head of global TV Bela Bajaria announced the coming of “Squid Game: The Challenge,” a reality competition series version of the 2021 hit show. According to Netflix to a video release, the upcoming series is set to become “the biggest reality competition series ever.” Much like what took place in “Squid Game,” the show will have 456 players competing for a $4.56 million prize.
“For this round, the Front Man is in search of English-language speakers from any part of the world,” it says on its website. “The stakes are high, but in this game, the worst fate is going home empty-handed.”
“Squid Game: The Challenge” will have 10 episodes, as per Variety, and will be co-produced by Studio Lambert and The Garden. To know more about its casting, visit www.squidgamecasting.com.
