Fabricio Andrade also wants Stephen Loman — Team Lakay coach

Fabricio “Wonder Boy” Andrade might have his eyes on current ONE Bantamweight World Champion John “Hands of Stone” Lineker, but he’s also on the lookout for other challengers in the division.  

The now No. 2-ranked bantamweight contender has No. 4-ranked Stephen “The Sniper” Loman on his radar, and it’s a fight that he wants if he beats Lineker for the strap.  

Speaking on his YouTube channel, Team Lakay head coach Mark Sangiao shared how the red-hot Brazilian approached him after ONE 158 and told him his intentions to battle “The Sniper.”  

“After that event, Fabricio Andrade actually challenged Stephen Loman; he wants to face him after he beats John Lineker,” Sangiao said.  

“He told me that himself. We saw each other in the hotel after the event, and he told me personally that he wants to fight Stephen Loman.”  

There is no official word as to whether Andrade will challenge Lineker next, but all signs point to it.  

Andrade has yet to lose in The Home of Martial Arts, winning all five of his bouts while finishing four of them.  

In his latest outing, “Wonder Boy” made short work of “Pretty Boy” Kwon Won Il, folding the South Korean in half with a well-placed liver kick and cementing his spot as the hottest contender in the division right now.  

Loman is on fire as well. He knocked out Yusup Saadulaev in the first round before grinding out a win over tough Shoko Sato. And should a match between Loman and Andrade happen, Sangiao promises that “The Sniper” will be ready.  

“Andrade has been on a roll. He’s been having great performances. He’s on a winning streak, so I think he deserves to be calling out fighters and challenging them,” Sangiao said. “On our end, we’ll be preparing.”
