RSG Philippines one-two punch Jhonard “Demonkite” Caranto and Eman “Emann” Sangco delivered the goods anew as the MPL Philippines champion sent the gritty Falcon Esports of Myanmar crashing to the lower bracket with a thrilling 2-1 victory in the MSC 2022 playoffs at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre on Tuesday, June 14.

The Filipino bets recovered from a second game collapse as they secured the series clinching Game 3 behind the stellar showing from Emann on his signature Beatrix to advance to the upper bracket semifinals.

Emann who struggled to make significant impact in the first two games exploded with a 6-1-2 KDA while Demonkite capped a series long brilliance with a 4-2-3 line on the jungle Karina.

Momentum was on the side of the Burmese team following the comeback victory in Game 2 but a timely pick-off on Ken's jungle Dyrroth after he got caught by Dylan "Light" Catipon in the middle lane sparked the telling run for the Filipinos who closed out the series with a 13-7 Game 3 win.

It was the Filipinos who drew the series first blood as Arvie "Aqua" Calderon showed the way with a clean 5-0-3 KDA on the Kagura in the team's 13-8 Game 1 victory.

The PH bets had the chance to score a sweep in the second game after they controlled majority of the match but failed to take down the enemy base behind the efforts of Falcon Esports Johnson-Kadita combo.

Falcon, which took down Indonesian powerhouse Onic Esports in the group stage, scored the equalizer after a 21-29 comeback win in Game 2.
