Man arrested, P476K shabu seized in Parañaque buy-bust

Police seized some P476,000,worth of shabu from an alleged drug peddler during a buy-bust operation in Parañaque City on Sunday, June 12.

Col. Maximo Sebastian, city police chief, identified the suspect as Geronimo Chacon, alias “Kaka”, a resident of Barangay San Isidro, Parañaque City.

Sebastian said Chacon was arrested by operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) and Parañaque City Sub-Station 4 at around 3:30 a.m. on Angelina Canaynay Ave. in Barangay San Isidro, Parañaque City.

He said the operating units were able to confiscate from Chacon nine small transparent sachets containing around 70 grams of shabu, P1,000 cash, and six pieces of P1,000 boodle money.

The city police chief said the suspect was charged with possession of illegal drugs and is now detained at the police custodial facility.

Sebastian said the confiscated shabu was turned over to the Southern Police District (SPD) Forensic Unit for chemical analysis.
