Laudiangco still acting Comelec spox

John Rex Laudiangco will continue to serve as acting spokesperson of the Commission on Elections (Comelec).

Acting Comelec Chairperson Socorro Inting relayed this information to Laudiangco in a memo dated June 10.

"Please be advised that you shall continue to be the Acting Spokesperson of the Commission until the assumption of the new Chairman," she said.

It was May 2022 when Laudiangco was first designated as acting spokesperson by then Comelec Chairman Saidamen Pangarungan.

He replaced James Jimenez after the latter was involved in the PiliPinas Debates 2022 fiasco.

Laudiangco's designation lapsed when the appointment of Pangarungan was bypassed by the Commission on Appointments early this month leaving the position of Comelec spokesperson as temporarily vacant.
