Former tenant stabs landlord after arguing over P300 debt in Imus, Cavite
IMUS, Cavite – A 30-year-old woman was arrested by police after she stabbed her former landlord during their argument over a P300 debt in Barangay Pasong Buaya II on Saturday, June 11.
Imus City Police Station identified the suspect as Ailyn Aguilar, 31.
Cpl. Joselle Hernandez, investigator-on-case, told the Manila Bulletin that Aguilar used to rent a room at the property of the victim, Necesario Mesias, 71.
When Aguilar moved to a new home, Mesias failed to return her complete deposit, which was short of P300.
On the day of the incident, Aguilar went to Mesias to collect the money. During their discussion, Mesias reportedly flicked his cigarette filter and hit Aguilar.
Provoked by Mesias’ actuation, Aguilar took out a small knife and stabbed the victim in the chest.
Mesias was immediately taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
Aguilar is now under police custody and is facing frustrated homicide charges.
