Ardina finishes 29th in Shoprite LPGA Classic

Dottie Ardina shot a closing one-over-par 72 to finish tied at 29th place in the Shoprite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer in Galloway, New Jersey Sunday (Monday in Manila).

Ardina struggled in the first 11 holes where she fumbled with a double bogey and two bogeys, but regained her footing by firing four birdies against another bogey.

She tallied a three-round total of 210 on earlier rounds of 67 and 71 to finish nine strokes behind eventual winner Brooke M. Henderson, who posted a 201 after a scorching final-round 64.

Ardina, who tied with 12 others, went home with $11,420 (P600,000).

Henderson copped her 11th Tour title after rallying four shots back and winning the playoff against Lindsey Weaver-Right.

Jodi Eward Shadoff came in third with 202 after a third-round 67, while Lydia Ko and Albane Valenzuela shared fourth with 203 following identical 67s.
