Lorenzana regains consciousness after scary collapse

Department of National Defense (DND) Secretary Delfin Lorenzana has regained consciousness, and was already in a stable condition after fainting during the Independence Day flag raising ceremony at Luneta Park in Manila on Sunday, June 12.

In a Facebook post, Lorenzana thanked all of those who prayed for him as he said his recent successive international security engagements and the extreme temperature "may have taken its toll on me."

"But as the saying goes, a true soldier always gets up quickly after a fall. I’m fine now. Just resting since the results of the tests conducted earlier are okay," he said.

"I’m deeply moved by your concern and well wishes. Thank you and God bless us all," the 73-year-old Defense chief added.
