Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano was recognized by the Regional Peace and Order Council-National Capital Region (RPOC-NCR) for supporting the council’s public safety initiatives.
Parañaque City Mayor Edwin Olivarez, RPOC-NCR chairman, awarded on June 9 the Mark of Recognition to Rubiano during a simple program at Okada Manila for her assistance and cooperation in all activities of the council amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
Rubiano thanked the council and vowed to continue implementing peace and order and public safety programs in the city.
Olivarez, for his part, said he was grateful for having a chance to lead the council for three years.
The mayor was named chairman of RPOC in 2019. With the help of Metro Manila mayors, the council was able to craft policies to address the peace and order problems in the NCR.
