East Avenue Medical Center, Department of Emergency Medicine presents its two-day event, the 12th Annual (2nd Virtual) Postgraduate Course, this June 15-16, 2022 starting at 08:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a free registration. "Shifting Gears: Emerging From The Lockdown" talks about the new beginning of the end.

Dr. Bernadette Velasco, the operation manager of the National Patient Navigation and Referral Center, will impart her expertise on "pre-hospital care emergency medical services gearing towards endemic."
Dr. Homer Co, an EM graduate of PGH and one of the creators of RADISH—Computerized Registry of Admissions and Discharges, will talk about this web-based system for managing the admissions and discharges and the consult widely now used in PGH Medical Record Division, Nursing, Medical Social Services, Hospital Infection Control monitoring, Pharmacy Adverse Drug Event, Lobby information, and expanding to the clinical departments.
Dr. Ferdinand Guzman, the National Board Director of Philippine Academy of Family Physicians (PAFP) and the founding president of Philippine Society of Primary Care Physicians in Tropical Medicine (PAFP-TM), will address his knowledge in teleconsultation on this new normal.

The Department of Emergency Medicine commits to pioneer innovative outreach via social media to increase public interest in health information with the goal of educating patients and their families.
