8 drug suspects arrested in Taguig, Muntinlupa


Police arrested eight drug suspects and seized nearly P134,000 worth of suspected shabu (methamphetamine hydrochloride) in anti-criminality operations in Taguig and Muntinlupa on June 9.

Three suspects identified as Alex Alibasa, 21; Dante Pagtabunan, 47; and Jaime Tolentino, 53, were arrested on Mindanao Street in Barangay Central Signal Village, Taguig through “Oplan Galugad” conducted by the Police Sub-station 6.

Seized from them were three plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 4.3 grams with a market value of P29,240.

Meanwhile, the Taguig Police Mobile Patrol Unit arrested suspects Neil Jeannard Perillo, 26, and Israel Mangawa, 23, for alleged possession of illegal drugs on Sto. Domingo Street in Barangay New Lower Bicutan.

The police recovered two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing 9.8 grams valued at P66,640.

On C5 Service Road Northbound Phase 1, Barangay Pinagsama, Taguig, the police under Sub-station 3 arrested drug suspects Jay-ar Cruz, 23, and Alfie Cayabyab, 42, who yielded two plastic sachets with suspected shabu weighing 2.6 grams with a value of P17,680.

In Muntinlupa, personnel from the police’s Drug Enforcement Unit conducted a buy-bust operation at PNR Site Purok 7 in Barangay Poblacion that resulted in the arrest of Jeffrey Tomada, 28.

The police seized two plastic sachets containing suspected shabu weighing three grams with a value of P20,400, and P200 buy-bust money.

According to Southern Police District director Brig. Gen. Jimili Macaraeg, the suspects were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) and are detained at custodial facilities of the police.
