A policeman charged for sexual harassment of a 15 year-old boy was ordered arrested by the city police chief on Tuesday, May 31.
Col. Jaime Santos, in a phone interview, said the suspect, a 51-year-old Staff Master Sergeant and assigned to the police Sub-Station I is now detained at the police custodial facility.
Santos said the victim, a 15-year-old boy, was reportedly harassed by the suspect inside the office police Sub-Station I located along Daniel Fajardo Barangay Hall around 8:30 a.m.
Reports showed the victim accompanied his mother who is a pastor of a religious group conduct a Bible study to policemen assigned at the police sub-station.
The mother of the victim filed a complaint to the police after the victim told her that he was sexually assaulted by the suspect inside the police office.
The victim admitted that he was sexually assaulted inside the office while his mother was conducting a Bible study with other policemen.
He said after hearing the complaint of the 15-year-old boy, he immediately ordered the Special Weapon and Tactics (SWAT) team to arrest the suspect.
The city police chief said the suspect was charged with sexual harassment and child abuse.
