Andanar thanks Duterte for 'rare opportunity' to serve in Cabinet
Communications Secretary Martin Andanar expressed his gratitude to President Duterte for letting him be a part of the "change" the outgoing Chief Executive had promised to deliver six years ago.

Andanar said after Duterte hosted a thanksgiving dinner in Malacañang for his Cabinet early this week.
In his Facebook post, Andanar thanked the President for allowing him to effect changes in the government's communications arm.
"Salamat (Thank you), President Duterte, for the memorable thanksgiving dinner you gave us, your last standing Cabinet. Thank you for giving me the rare opportunity to be part of your 'pagbabago' (change) cabinet from start to finish," he wrote.
"Truly an honor to be able to effect the institutional changes needed at the Presidential Communication Operations Office (PCOO) and the Office of the Presidential Spokesperson (OPS)," he added.
Meanwhile, Andanar likened Duterte's journey in Malacañang to "The Impossible Dream," a song from the Broadway musical "Man of La Mancha." This was after singer Rober Senia sang the hit show tune during the thanksgiving dinner.
"Robert Seña's powerful rendition of 'The Impossible Dream' aptly describes who you are, how you showed us the way and your will to fight 'til the end," he said.
Andanar particularly noted the following lyrics of the song: "To dream the impossible dream, to fight the unbeatable foe, to bear with unbearable sorrow,
to run where the brave dare not go."
Andanar, who has been part of Duterte's Cabinet since Day 1 as the PCOO secretary, is also Duterte's fifth spokesman.
Lawyer-vlogger Trixie Cruz-Angeles is set to replace Andanar in heading the PCOO once the administration of incoming President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. starts on June 30.
