LOOK: Celebrity voters flock precincts early

Call them the early birds.

Few hours after the national elections officially began, some celebrities were already sharing with fans their experience.

First-time-voter Maris Racal was at her precinct as early as 6 am.

She related how she was so nervous filling in her ballot.

The singer-actress urged fans, "Shade properly and double check your receipts! Vote wisely."

Jodi Sta.Maria could relate, sharing on her Instagram post that she felt emotional filling her ballot.

"Nag-ingat ng husto sa pagmarka dahil baka hindi mabasa ng machine," she said. "Nung nabasa na ng machine, lumabas ang resibo, napasobra ang lagay ng ink sa daliri ko halos napaiyak ako (dahil mahapdi rin siguro dahil sa kakakutkot ko ng index finger ko bago bumoto. Election anxiety perhaps?)."

"Proud ako kasi alam ko tumindig ako. Vote wisely, Pilipinas! Sa boto mo nakasalalay ang kinabukasan mo."

Chinese-Filipino TV host Richard Juan woke up at 5 to do his duty.

He said, "When sooo much is at stake, you’re just extra motivated to do your part."

According to him, Halalan 2022 is literally one of the "most important in Philippine history."

"This can finally be the major turning point that we’ve all been looking and waiting for," he maintained.

Young star Francine Diaz echoed national hero Dr. Jose Rizal's immortal line in her post: "Ang kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan."

She said: "Kung ano man ang maging desisyon at gawin natin ngayon ay ang hinaharap ng kinabukasan."

"Tayong kabataan ang pag-asa ng bayan, pumili tayo ng leader na may malasakit sa lahat ng pilipino, yung may pagmamahal sa bawat tao, hindi umaatras sa anumang laban, hindi sa una lang magaling, may pagmamahal sa bayan."

Meanwhile, actress-TV host Mariel Rodriguez was already lining up to vote before 6am.

She even detailed her experience - from waking up at 5:15am, showering at 5:20 and arriving at her precinct at 5:58am.

"Lined up. Finished voting at 7am!!!!"

Mariel reminded her followers to check their receipts.

"...kung tama ba ang pangalan na lumabas sa mga binoto niyo. Praise God yung sakin tama. Very important to check."

Singer-actor Khalil Ramos, on the other hand, shared a photo of him flaunting his electoral ink.

"Vote wisely, everyone. (Philippine flag), #Eleksyon2022," his caption read.

Actress Kathryn Bernardo also did the same along with her greeting: "Good morning, Pilipinas! (Philippine flag) #Halalan2022."

Celebrity couple Regine Velasquez and Ogie Alcasid shared their hope for the best result.

"Bumoto na po. God bless the Philippines. @reginevalcasid."
