Caloocan City mayoral candidate and District 2 Representative Edgar “Egay” Erice, led his Team Bughaw’s miting de avance on Saturday evening, May 7.

The activity was held at Barangay 178 in Caloocan City, where the team’s candidates were able to present their plans as they promise to help resolve various problems and issues in the city.

Erice said that he wants to improve the city’s security system to end criminality and maintain peace and order, by hiring more watchers or tanod for each barangays who will undergo law enforcement training, providing them with proper uniforms, equipment and better salary.

He added that he will be placing more closed circuit television cameras in different parts of the city for better monitoring and install Global Positioning System (GPS) to all patrol cars, as part of the programs to lessen crime incidents and to respond better to the call of residents in need.

Aside from his plans for security, the mayoral candidate also laid out some programs that he want to implement for health, livelihood, housing and education.

He promised to properly use the city’s fund to provide free medicines and health services to the people especially the senior citizens, provide housing to poor families, give employment to the residents including healthy elderies by building more factories, and for the children to get basic computer education.

The congressman said that the real key for the city’s development is when there are more people who are productive.

Erice also urged the residents to listen to all the candidates, including those who are not part of thier team’s slate, for them to choose wisely who they think is the right leader for the city.

“Ngayong kampanya sobrang nahirapan ako, pero pangako ko sa inyo sobra-sobra pa na paghihirapan ko para iangat ang buhay niyo, iangat ang lungsod ng Caloocan ( I struggled during the campaign period. But I promise you that I will work hard to improve your lives and the city of Caloocan),” he said.
