Several UAAP cagers beat the deadline and have thrown in their names in the PBA Draft slated May 15 at Robinsons Place Manila.

Ateneo seniors Gian Mamuyac, Tyler Tio, and BJ Andrade, despite having one more playing year left, have reportedly declared for the PBA Draft while National University veteran Shaun Ildefonso, son of PBA legend Danny Ildefonso, joined in the fray.
The development was first reported by the Tiebreaker Times before Spin.ph followed suit.
Also in the mix is former University of the Philippines forward Javi Gomez de Liano, who had played for the Ibaraki Robots in the Japan B.League for one season.
Meanwhile, multiple reports stated that De La Salle star Justine Baltazar won't be declaring for the PBA Draft as he's bound to go to the Japan B. League as well.
Baltazar is set to follow the footsteps of former Ateneo standout and three-time UAAP champion Thirdy Ravena, who likewise pursued his basketball career overseas specifically in the Land of the Rising Sun with the San-En Neophoenix.
The 25-year-old Pampanga native cager is fresh from a heartbreaking defeat at the hands of University of the Philippines in their semifinals showdown Friday, May 6.
But PBA commissioner Willie Marcial confirmed to the Manila Bulletin that Baltazar had submitted his application on Saturday, May 7 as well.
Mamuyac, Tio, and Andrade, for their part, brace for a busy schedule ahead as the Blue Eagles prepare for Game 1 of the UAAP Finals against the Fighting Maroons at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City Sunday, May 8.
If necessary, the Finals can stretch up to next Friday, May 13 just two days before the PBA Draft and just enough time for the Ateneo trio to ready themselves for new chapters of their basketball career.
PJ Pilares of Titan Management Group, handler of Mamuyac and Tio, also confirmed the development while other sources have yet to respond.
