The Clash Season 3 Grand Champion Jessica Villarubin holds homecoming concert in Cebu

After her global performance at the Dubai Expo, The Clash Season 3 Grand Champion Jessica Villarubin returns to Cebu City with a homecoming concert this Saturday, May 7, at the San Fernando Sports Complex.

The Cebuana diva will start the momentous occasion with a motorcade around her beloved hometown. She will also visit some of her friends and relatives who've supported her from the beginning of her journey.

“Start pa lang ng The Clash talaga, grabe na yung suporta na ibinigay sa akin ng mga San Fernandohans. As in every time na sasali ako, nagse-set-up sila sa gym ng mga chairs tapos nandoon lahat ng tao nanonood. Grabe ‘yung init ng suporta talaga na ibinigay po nila sa akin at hindi ko po talaga malimutan ‘yung mga tao na tumulong sa akin noong time na yun,” she shares.

Jessica is delighted to see her loved ones and supporters again. She also wants to remind her fans and supporters that she is still the same Jessica that they have known before. 

"Pag nakikita nila ako, parang nasa-shock sila. Sabi ko, hala ako pa rin ito. Iba na talaga yung tingin nila sa akin na parang ibang level pero lagi ko silang sinasabihan na same pa rin ako, pwede pa rin ninyo akong kausapin. Kasi ‘yung iba pag alam na nila na nasa TV na ako, naiilang sila pero sa totoo lang, wala talagang nagbago, same lang po talaga,” says Jessica.

She further reveals that her homecoming concert means a lot to her, “I’m super excited. Hindi ko alam kung ano ba ang reaction nila, kung excited ba sila makita ako. Excited talaga as in siyempre makikita ko na rin yung family ko kasi ang tagal kong hindi nakauwi, ‘yung mga relatives ko nandoon for sure manonood sila. I’m so excited to perform and to share my talent with them and of course, to give back sa support na ibinigay nila sa akin. I want to sing para sa kanila,” she ends.
