SMDC provides pediatric, booster vaccination for residents

In its bid to protect its communities, SM Development Corporation (SMDC) rolled out its COVID-19 pediatric vaccination program for kids from ages 5 to 11 in select properties.

Ensuring a comfortable and worry-free vaccination site, the amenity areas in SMDC were transformed into safe kiddie vaccination venues, while its partner, the Philippine Red Cross (PRC), ensured the areas’ proper sanitation. The PRC also provided medical personnel and assistance in administering the COVID-19 jabs. Volunteer doctors and nurses who are actual residents of SMDC also helped out during the inoculation and medical program.

The parents of the kiddie residents expressed their gratitude to SMDC as it made the COVID-19 vaccinations more convenient and accessible for them. SMDC plans to bring the pediatric vaccination to many more of its properties in the coming months.

Apart from offering pediatric vaccination to its communities, SMDC also gave its residents an additional layer of protection by providing them COVID-19 booster shots. They also gave free medical checkups in its properties.

SMDC believes that a healthy individual contributes to a stronger nation. As a community-builder, it has always been SMDC’s mission to create happy, healthy, safe and thriving communities, hence, programs such as the Good Guys Health and Wellness Caravan are being implemented.

SMDC’s vaccination program and medical mission are part of its ongoing Good Guys Health and Wellness Caravan. Under this program, SMDC goes around its communities to provide the necessary medical assistance, from check-ups and free medicines to blood donation and COVID-19 vaccination.

Among the communities SMDC visited include Barangay Bundagul in Mabalacat, Pampanga last January 27; Fame Residences in Mandaluyong City on January 28; Breeze Residences in Pasay City on January 29; Carmona, Cavite on February 18; and Marilao, Bulacan on March 31. In May and June, SMDC’s Wellness Caravan will make stops in Brgy. Sun Valley in Parañaque and Joy Residences in Baliwag, Bulacan..
