Senatorial candidate Mark Villar, the face behind the Duterte administration's “Build, Build, Build” initiative, says that he will ensure the completion of the Tagaytay Bypass Road if he becomes victorious in the 2022 polls.

A 1.54-kilometer long segment of the road was opened in October 2020. However, the entirety of the project is around 8.59 kilometers in length.

“These two sections are only the beginning as we have been prioritizing the inclusion of this project in the national budget since 2018, hanggang ngayon po ay patuloy parin akong nakaalalay sa proyektong ito (Until now, I have been supporting this project)," Villar said in press statement on Wednesday, May 4.
"Once completed, the Tagaytay Bypass Road will reduce travel time from Alfonso to Tagaytay to only 20 minutes, saving as much as 33 minutes from the usual 53 minutes," explained the UniTeam Senate bet.
The finished road will also feature a bike lane 2.44-meters wide, as per Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Order No. 88, series of 2020.
