Pasay City Mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano on Wednesday, May 4, called on immunocompromised individuals to get their second booster shot against Covid-19.
Rubiano made her call after the City Health Office (CHO) reported that only 16 individuals have so far received the second booster shot of the vaccine.
Of the 16 vaccinees, one belongs to A1 category (workers in the fronline services), four are under A2 category (senior citizens), eight under A3 category (adults with comorbidities), and three under A4 category (essential workers).
The mayor said the city government is administering Pfizer vaccines to immunocompromised individuals at SM Mall of Asia (MOA) Giga vaccination site, where walk-ins are accepted.
Rubiano also said the city government has already administered the first booster shot to around 94,216 individuals.
She added that immunocompromised persons who are bedridden and patients on wheelchairs are not being referred to Giga vaccination site.
