In his taped pre-election message that was posted on his Facebook late Tuesday night, May 3, Marcos made presented himself as candidate for president, citing his oft-repeated pitches for national unity and recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.

I long to be worthy of your trust)," Marcos, speaking from a podium, told his virtual audience.

Still, if your heart chooses somebody else, I ask that we go to the polling precincts together and vote)," the UniTeam bet said.

We need to take part in the elections. This is our sacred responsibility to our nation because it is an important ingredient in the process of judging who should lead after the polls)," he explained.

The former senator and Ilocos Norte governor also reiterated his appeal for Filipinos to protect their votes.

"Protektahan po natin ang ating naging desisyon at wag po nating hayaang ito'y muling nakawin sa atin (Let's protect our decision and not let be stolen from us again)," he said.

Marcos had highlighted during the campaign period that he was cheated when he lost in the 2016 vice presidential race.
