Over 400 kids vaccinated in Malabon

A total of 467 children in Malabon City, zero to 23 months old, were vaccinated against different diseases on the first day of the Department of Health’s (DOH) “Chikiting Bakunation Days- National Vaccination Days for Routine and Catch- Up immunization” campaign, the local government announced on Monday, May 30.

The DOH and city government started the vaccination on Monday to immunize the kids who have yet to get inoculated against vaccine-preventable diseases like hepatitis B, polio, measles, pneumonia, and others. It will be held until June 10.

The local government encouraged parents, even those who are non-residents, to ensure the safety of their kids from the diseases by bringing them to the barangay health centers to get vaccinated.

Malabon City health workers will also conduct door-to-door vaccinations.

Meanwhile, the city government also said that there are 299 kids, aged five to 11 years old, who were vaccinated against Covid-19 on the same day.
