Anne Curtis' 'It's Showtime' comeback look costs $1,580—that's around P82K

After two years, Filipina actress Anne Curtis is back as host of the noontime show “It’s Showtime.” And as seen in clips online, she’s pretty emotional about it. But of course, it wouldn’t be a truly Anne moment if it doesn’t include a few laughs and a chic fashion moment.

During her live performance of Ariana Grande’s song “Break Free,” Anne called for a second take as nerves got the best of her, with fellow hosts cheering her up. While that was a truly touching and adorable scene, our eyes were set on the amazing top the actress donned for her comeback.

With the help of her styling team Qurator Studio, Anne wore a crystal-embellished top in the shape of a daisy flower. The piece is designed by Beckett Fogg and Piotrek Pansczczyk, the design duo behind New York-based fashion label Area. It is part of the brand’s resort 2022 collection that is all about “femininity in all its forms.” A quick search on its e-commerce site and we found out that the top is priced at $1,580, which is around P82,000.

According to its website, Area’s aesthetic demonstrates glamor and playfulness imbued with pop energy. The brand’s name is hailed from the iconic ‘80s Manhattan nightclub, making the bar’s eclectic creative spirit one of the label’s guides in producing collections.

“Exploring perceptions of femininity and beauty is an ongoing reference for Area; the ways in which these ideals evolve and change across time and cultures is a driving inspirational force for the brand,” it says. “Through examining and challenging the evolution of beauty ideals, Area celebrates duality and togetherness.”

Apart from Anne, Fil-Am singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo has also donned one of Area’s pieces during her appearance on “The Late Late Show” with James Corden.
