1 or 2 tropical cyclones may enter or form inside PH area of responsibility in June — PAGASA

One or two tropical cyclones are likely to develop or enter the country’s area of responsibility in June, based on the 1948-2021 climatological record of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
Climatological tracks in June suggest four common tracks:
* Tropical cyclones that enter the PAR move towards the Philippines but they recurve to the Pacific Ocean before it could even make landfall, instead it moves towards Taiwan or Japan;
* Tropical cyclones enter the PAR but recurve then move towards Japan;
* Landfalling tropical cyclones traverse the southern part of Luzon then move towards northern Vietnam or Hong Kong; and
* Landfalling tropical cyclones traverse the eastern and northern parts of Visayas then move towards northern Vietnam or Taiwan.
Based on the PAGASA’s forecast rainfall for June, generally near normal rainfall conditions are expected in most parts of the country except in Kalinga, Apayao, and Cagayan where below normal rainfall is likely, and in some parts of Central Luzon and Calabarzon where above normal rainfall is possible.
By July, below normal rainfall conditions are expected in Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, a portion of the Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Cavite, and Guimaras.
Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have mostly near normal rainfall.
