Beauty expert James Cooper passes away at 73

Popular Filipino makeup artist and hairstylist James Cooper passed away after he suffered from a heart attack while preparing for a Santacruzan inside a church in Laguna on May 29. He was 73.

Reports said that Cooper was brought to a community hospital, where medical staff tried to revive him but failed.

Cooper rose to fame in the Philippines when she styled for actresses namely Dawn Zulueta, Sharon Cuneta, and Lorna Tolentino. But Cooper has been widely associated in styling Maricel Soriano.

Prior, he worked in Hollywood for celebrities Farrah Fawcett-Majors and Cher.

On Instagram on May 30, Maricel paid tribute to her friend.

"Thank you for the many years of love and friendship, and treating me like your own daughter. You have been a big part of who I am today and I am forever grateful .

"I love you my Mother Goose ... Till we meet again ," she wrote.
