El Shaddai endorses Villar's Senate bid

The El Shaddai Catholic charismatic group has endorsed the Senate bid of UniTeam bet Mark Villar.

It is estimated that the Catholic group led by Brother Mike Velarde has eight million members.

"We are always very grateful to Brother Mike for all his support lalo na po sa Pamilya ko (especially to my family). Maraming salamat po sa mga naniniwala sa akin at sa aking serbisyo publiko (Thank you to those who believe in me and my public service),” Villar said in a press statement on Monday, May 2.

“Nais ko pong pasalamatan ang milyun-milyong kasapi ng El Shaddai at kay Brother Mike Velarde (I want to thank the millions of followers of El Shaddai and Velarde)," he added.

The El Shaddai group previously endorsed the candidacies of UniTeam presidential-vice presidential tandem Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
