Supporters clamor for people's thanksgiving party after Marcos-Duterte victory

Fans cheered as Toni Gonzaga shared a photo with popular Filipino rapper Andrew E. on social media.

"Sabay Sabay! Bagong Pilipinas!" wrote Toni on Instagram on May 27.

"Bagong PIlipinas" is the title of the viral campaign song composed by Andrew E. for President-elect Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and Vice-President-elect Sara Duterte.

Netizens lauded the photo of Toni and Andrew who they described as principled celebrities. They were the major stars who campaign heavily for Bongbong and Sara.

In the comment section of Toni's post, supporters clamored for a thanksgiving victory party for the upcoming administration.

Marcos Jr. has been proclaimed the next Philippine president by a joint session of Congress.

The Senate and House of Representatives also declared Sara Duterte as the next Vice President of the Philippines. She is the daughter of outgoing President Rodrigo Duterte whose six-year term will end on June 30.
