De La Salle makes quick work of FEU

De La Salle made quick work of Far Eastern University, 25-23, 25-13, 25-14, in the UAAP Season 84 women's volleyball tournament Saturday night, May 28.

The Lady Spikers, who improved to a 6-3 record, only needed one hour and 26 minutes to take the win as Thea Gagate led all scorers with 14 points off nine spikes and five blocks.

Alleiah Malaluan also added 12 points for De La Salle which secured its third-seed, trailing No. 2 team University of Santo Tomas.

After a close contest in the first set, the Lady Spikers stepped on the gas in the next two frames to make it a lopsided affair.

No Lady Tamaraws scored in double digits as Shiela Kiseo spearheaded their offense with seven markers.

FEU continued to skid with a 1-8 slate.
