
The suspect, Joven Capistrano, 26, is listed fourth in the drugs watchlist of the city, according to a report from Police Regional Office (PRO)-Western Visayas (Region 6).
According to Police Lt. Col. Lowell Garinganao, La Carlota City police chief, Capistrano, who is considered a high value individual, was monitored by police operatives for a couple of months before his arrest.
Police recovered from him 17 sachets of shabu, the P500 marked money, and a cellular phone.
Capistrano has yet to be reached for comment.
Police Brig. Gen. Flynn Dongbo, Western Visayas police chief, in a statement, commended the operatives for their dedication and hard work in implementing the intensified campaign against illegal drugs.
