Rebuilding livelihood

Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III highlights the Department’s assistance to informal sector workers, such as the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program and the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers Program to help them rebuild their livelihood as the country recovers from the pandemic. This as Bello led the awarding of DOLE aid amounting to close to P20 million to 800 beneficiaries during the Labor Day Event for the Informal Sector Workers spearheaded by the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns and the DOLE-National Capital Region last May 23 at Arroceros Forest Park, Manila.


Assistance to PWDs
DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III (center) lead the awarding of livelihood assistance in the form of electronic loading business amounting to P260,000 to 13 persons with disabilities during the Labor Day Event for the Informal Sector Workers spearheaded by the Bureau of Workers with Special Concerns and the DOLE-National Capital Region on May 23, 2022 at Arroceros Forest Park, Manila.

Free Bisikleta
Maricar Antioquia is one of the informal sector workers who received a free bicycle livelihood assistance from the labor department during the Labor Day Event for the Informal Sector Workers on May 23, 2022 at Arroceros Forest Park, Manila. The bicycle units also include helmet, raincoat, water bottle, thermal bag, and android mobile phone with a P5,000 load in electronic payment application. Under the Freebis (Free Bisikleta) Project, qualified beneficiaries cover individual or group of self-employed workers with insufficient income or whose livelihood were affected by the imposition of community quarantine, unpaid family workers, women, or low/minimum wage earners.
