'Duterte asked me to continue drug war my own way'--Marcos
President Duterte asked Bongbong Marcos to continue his anti-drug campaign "his own way".

This was one of the revelations of the 64-year-old Marcos, now the President-elect, during his Facebook live interview with select media on Thursday morning, May 26.
According to Marcos, he and the incumbent Chief Executive have met more than once, with at least one of those meetings occurring before the May 9 elections.
"There were several actually, it’s not just a single ," he noted.
"Bago pa nag-eleksyon, ay sinasabi basta itong mga bagay na ito, ituloy mo (Even before the election, he's been saying that these things, continue them), please, that is the request, sabi niya (he said) that is so important to him. And still siyempre ‘yong kanyang priority (And of course his priority) has always been the anti-drug problem)," Marcos said.
"One thing that he was very assertive about was 'Ituloy mo ‘yong anti-drug syndicate na sinimulan ko (Continue the anti-drug syndicate that I started). Do it your own way.' He really said that," said the President-elect.
“Do it your own way. Palitan mo, gawin mo yong gusto mo pero huwag mong iiwanan ‘yan kasi kawawa ang kabataan natin, talagang nasisira ang mga buhay nila (You can change it, do what you want with it, but don't abando it because our youth are pitiful, their lives are being destroyed)," Marcos further quoted the outgoing leader.
"I fully appreciate what he said. And of course, the drug problem in the country continues to be a problem so we must continue to look that way," Marcos said.
Dutere arguably won the 2016 presidential race due to his hardline stance against illegal drugs and criminality.
Upon becoming president, Duterte launched an aggressive war on drugs that, to say the very least, has been among the more controversial aspects of his presidency.
