Volleyball stars headline 'Angatleta sa Araneta' event for Leni Robredo

Some of the brightest players in the country headline “Angatleta sa Araneta”, a campaign sortie of athletes supporting Presidential aspirant Leni Robredo.

The event will be held Tuesday, May 3, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum where athletes and fans gather to show their support to Robredo in entertaining fashion.

Tickets are free but supporters can purchase shirts worth P299 to secure seats closer to the athletes.

Parade of athletes, cheerleading performances, torch lighting, volleyball exhibition games and photo opportunities with athletes are scheduled in the event.

Expected to participate are volleyball stars Alyssa Valdez, Deanna Wong, Mika Reyes, Maddie Madayag, Jho Maraguinot, Bea De Leon, Ponggay Gaston, Denden Lazaro, Kat Tolentino, Jules Samonte, Kathy Bersola and Jem Ferrer, among others.

Male volleyball players also lined up are Ish Polvorosa, Josh Villanueva, Rex Intal, Julius Sioson, Lloyd Josafat, Ysay Marasigan, Josh Umandal, Alfred Valbuena, Josh Retamarand Manuel Sumanguid, to name a few.

Over 100 cheerleaders from different universities and colleges will also be performing.
