Tulfo, Legarda share top spot in Pulse Asia's April 16-21 senatorial survey

Broadcaster Raffy Tulfo and Antique Rep. Loren Legarda have a statistical chance of placing 1st to 2nd places in the senatorial polls, based on the latest Pulse Asia survey results released on Monday, May 2.
The results of the nationwide survey conducted from April 16 to 21 with 2,400 respondents have shown that Tulfo and Legarda received 50.4 percent and 49.4 percent of the voter preference, respectively.
Meanwhile, actor Robin Padilla’s overall voter preference of 42.9 percent put him in 3rd to 4th places.
Taguig City-Pateros Rep. Alan Peter Cayetano’s national voting figure of 42.3 percent landed him in 3rd to 5th places.
Re-electionist senators Sherwin Gatchalian (37 percent) and Juan Miguel Zubiri (37 percent), occupied 5th to 9th places
In 5th to 12th place was former Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar with a voter preference of 35.9 percent, while in 6th to 12 place was former Senator JV Ejercito with a voter preference of 34.3 percent.
Completing the list of probable winners were former Vice President Jejomar Binay (32.5 percent), Senator Risa Hontiveros (32.3 percent), and former Senator Jinggoy Estrada (32.3 percent), all of whom are ranked 8th to 12th.
Pulse Asia noted that among those with valid responses to the senatorial electoral probe, 5.3 percent did not fill up the sample ballot used for the presidential survey, while 2.8 percent did not express support for any of the 64 candidates for senator running in the May 2022 elections.
